Authors description:

Hello visitor, my name is Saga Musix and I write high quality tracked music.

Most of my music is in the synthpop and trance genre. I use trackers exclusively, and I prefer quality over file size during production - if a track requires 10MB of samples to sound good, I will release a large module file. However, this doesn't mean that I cannot get the size of my tracks down for you if you're interested. Usually, I can reduce a typical IT track from 10MB to 1MB without a lot of perceivable quality loss - so if you like my music but require it to be small, just get in touch. It may get even smaller if MO3 (compressed module format) is an option for you!
Do note that I'm usually not into writing chiptunes or other size-limited tracked music, though.

If you think that a track is great but doesn't *quite* fit your game (e.g. too fast / slow, must be looping, etc.), don't hesitate to contact me - maybe we can figure out how it can be changed to suit your needs perfectly.

All of my music is released under a CC-BY-NC-SA license, so if you are a freeware developer, there is not a lot for you to care about. However, I am totally open to get my music into non-free games as well, so an exception from the CC license can be made by a little payment. Freeware only includes totally free games - ads and in-app purchases do not count as "free".

USING MODULES IN YOUR GAME
The module versions of my songs are best played using the BASS (https://www.un4seen.com/bass.html) or libopenmpt (https://lib.openmpt.org/) libraries. I am actually one of the libopenmpt developers, so I can guarantee you that my tracks sound just right in it. :) BASS is not free for commercial games, so if you are on a tight budget, integrating libopenmpt into your audio system will definitely be the better choice for you.

STREAMING VERSIONS
By default I offer all my tracks in Ogg Vorbis and FLAC format. The FLAC files are not offered directly on the IGM website but can be found on my personal website. However, if required I can provide them in pretty much any other streaming format (Opus, MP3, AAC, etc.) or at a different bitrate as well. Just ask me.

You will find a lot more tunes on my website at https://sagamusix.de/
