| Sanctuary is an ethereal piece. Every compositional decision I made was dictated by an image of a small character in a big world. An expansive world filled with beauty that is there for the taking. There are no rules that this character must abide by. He/she has all the freedom in the world to explore, swim, jump or skip wherever they may please. I pictured a beach similar to the Kingdom Hearts 1 beach in the first world. Warm sand and bright blue transparent water make it irresistible for the character to dive in. This is a place in the world for the character to take sanctuary in. This is what the character is fighting for. |
